Rooted Women's Ministry

Our Beliefs

WE ARE...

Christians
Foremost, we are women who practice Christianity and do our best to live lives that honor God.

Women
We are women of ALL ages!
We believe in God’s design for women. To be a helper to one’s husband. To serve our families with joy. To be a light in our community. Titus 2:3-5 tells us that the older women are to teach the younger women the ways that honor God.

Homesteaders…
We are a collection of women who desire to work with our hands inside our homes through traditional homemaking and outside our homes as we tend the land. We purposefully choose a simpler, more intentional way of life. We long to detach from the corrupt, mass systems of government, schooling, medicine, food, etc.

WE BELIEVE…

In the Holy Bible
We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired word of God. That God has given it to us as our map to use on the path to heaven, that it holds all truths and that it is pure to this day.

In Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary. We believe in His teachings and miracles. We believe in his persecution, death and resurrection. We believe that Jesus now sits at the right hand of God the Father. We believe that Jesus, the Son of God, was the perfect lamb sacrificed to pay the ultimate price for our sins and that we are forgiven if we just believe in Him. We believe that His death tore down the veil so that we no longer are required to atone for our sins through sacrifice and traditions, but that we are now able to have a direct, intimate relationship with God Almighty. We believe that our relationship with God is strengthened and that we are elevated in our journey through communion, prayer, and repentance. We believe that Christ is The Way, The Light and The Truth in a confused, chaotic and fallen world. Although our world is ever-changing, we believe that our God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

In natural ways of life…
We believe we have the power to heal our bodies, spirits, minds, and the land through God Almighty. We believe that prayer mixed with faith is the most powerful medicine. We believe that God has given all of us the ability, intelligence and wisdom to care for our families, communities, land, and animals through His natural ways.

WE WELCOME...

Women ages 14 and up…
We ask that children under 14 not attend to allow our group to better focus on fellowship with one another. Additionally, our event locations can not promise a safe environment for children. Breast-feeding children under 1 years old are welcome! We welcome you to invite your female friends and family you believe would enjoy and benefit from our ministry. We strongly encourage you to share and discuss this document with them prior to coming.

Those who haven’t started homesteading yet…
Whether it’s because you don’t have the finances, the space or aren’t in the season to take on the load of a life of building and maintaining a homestead, we hope you’ll join us to learn, ask questions, and prepare for the day you have a homestead of your own. Remember, homesteading isn’t a particular place, acreage, livestock or big food gardens, but making daily choices to implement old-fashioned over modern ways. Hard work over convenience. It is a slower way of living. It's unconventional and down-right strange to most. But if you choose this life and you put your heart and soul into it, you can homestead anywhere and in any season!

Non-believers, those questioning their faith or what they believe, those searching for answers, those of various denominations and backgrounds…
We ask that you come with open hearts. You don’t have to be a believer or even plan to become a Christian. We only ask that you come with pure intent to listen, learn and feel free to ask
thoughtful questions. We require all who attend to be respectful of the sacred homes of Christian women you are entering into. We do not tolerate blasphemy against our Almighty God and His Holy word. Lastly, know that we, as Christians, are still imperfect sinners but we will do our best to answer your questions with respect and always with The Truth. In this ministry, you may not find acceptance the world is quick to hand out, but you will find TRUE LOVE amongst this group of women. And you may even find the peace and joy you have been searching for through Christ.

What a Rooted Women’s Ministry gathering looks like…

Where we meet…
Most ministry nights are inside or outside, ministry founder Casey Goldey’s home in Mount Olive, NC. We will let everyone know a month in advance if we are meeting at a different home within the local area. If you would like to host a ministry gathering or start a chapter in your area, please reach out below!

What we eat at our events…
We try to source as much food locally as possible for our events. We use ancient grains, raw dairy, and fresh animal by-products in many of our meals. We use various meats and produce from local farms. We are happy to provide non-meat options. If you have an allergy or intolerance to any foods, please let us know so we can make alternative options for you. We do not provide or encourage alcohol at our ministry events. Menus are emailed out to everyone 1 week in advance. We are always grateful for those anointed with the talent of cooking and would like to contribute to our ministry meals!

How we fellowship…
After dinner or while we nibble, we study The Bible together. Scripture is typically led by founder Casey Goldey, or by a guest speaker. We have a new topic each month that is also given to everyone at least 1 week in advance. This is an intimate, raw time to chat about struggles, joys, wisdom and share testimonies. If you have any questions about what we will be talking about or would like to lead fellowship one night, please reach out to the email below.

Learn and teach almost forgotten skills…
Each gathering we will learn a new homemaking or homesteading skill. Some of those skills may be gardening, cooking, preserving, natural remedies, soap making, sewing, weaving, woodworking, etc. If you or someone you know has any type of useful skill or knowledge, we encourage you to offer your time to teach those of us who are eager to learn! If you need money for supplies, we can discuss a budget for your lesson.
